You could make a great UX designer if you are analytical, like to translate problems and solutions into sketches and wireframes, and iterative. You like to keep noodling on the solutions and improving them with time.

  • Absolutely! If you are more analytical and have great problem-solving skills and verbal skills, you could become a great UX researcher or UX strategist, maybe even a Product Manager.

  • We will send you a confirmation that your registration payment was received. We'll invite you to a course Slack channel and ideate-labs-alumni channel. We'll host a happy hour before classes begin so that the cohort can meet each other. We'll connect you with alumni and alumni will sit in for midterms and finals presentations.

  • You can expect to commit 5-10 hours to this course per week. Everyone who has registered for this course so far has been working full-time 40 hour work-week jobs. They’ve been able to juggle both their work and learning goals.

  • Each week, we hold 2-3 hour lectures about the design process with the whole cohort. Each week, we schedule 1 hour of 1 on 1 time with you to go over your project work. A date and time for the weekly lectures is determined based on everybody's availability. Usually we run course lectures on the weekends online (Saturday afternoons or Sunday afternoons).

  • Yes! All live lectures and mentorship hours take place over Zoom calls.

  • Yes, of course! Throughout the cohort, we work in both Miro board and Figma to help you get used to working with these tools. You can receive 1:1 tutoring from your mentor on how to use these tools as well.

  • We record all our sessions and give you access to course recordings for 1 year so that you have time to rework your projects if needed.

  • We cover remote research methods, practice with UI design tools and prototyping/pretotyping/ ideation methods. We showcase how design relates to business strategy, marketing, and technical/operations constraints. This helps you better communicate your ideas to all types of folks.

  • Honestly, it depends on how much effort and commitment you put into doing the homework during the cohort and really taking the time to prep your resume and portfolio after the cohort ends. Some of our most successful students have become UX researchers and UX designers within 2-4 months of graduating from the cohort.

  • Honestly, UX requires a lot of non-linear thinking. Remember, there is no one RIGHT answer. We are constantly iterating and improving upon our ideas to increase the product’s reach. We also use research methods to help us reduce the chance of product failure once we “launch” our product to the market. UX design can be subjective, but we teach you the research and design methods you need to navigate this uncertainty and pitch your ideas with confidence.

  • The project topic you choose spans a project that lasts 3.5 months and walks through the end-to-end design process. The final 2 weeks are spent on portfolio and resume presentation, as well as practicing interview skills.

  • We hop on calls with you after the course ends for portfolio and resume reviews, interview and negotiations practice, as well as to put you in touch with recruiters based on your personal interests. We are always available to chat even after you graduate from the course and go through your job search process.

  • Good UI UX is good business. You will learn about how UI UX best practices help increase referral rates, conversions, and ultimately revenue.

  • The registration fee is non-refundable. We will save your seat for a future cohort if you are unable to attend the cohort you registered for.

  • This is a question that only YOU can answer truly. If you are feeling stuck, de-motivated or tired of your current job, then NOW is the time to act. We believe that its important to feel passionate and excited about the work that you are doing. All of our cohort members have mentioned that they feel like they are making a big IMPACT in the world with their work. We want you to feel this way again too. UX is a hot field right now- you have the chance of earning 6 figures and more by pivoting into this profession.

What students are saying about the 4 Month Live UX UI Course.

“I was able to double my salary after accepting a senior product design role, 5 months after completing the course.”

"Ideate Labs helped me really shape and bring out the core strengths that I possess and how to navigate the waters moving from digital art direction to UX design. Being able to get a full sense of how to come up with a product idea from exploration to build was incredibly helpful.

After going through the bootcamp, two companies that I had interviewed with prior to IdeateLabs both offered me UX roles. In total, I was offered 4 UX roles, each with higher salaries and benefits. I was able to double my salary after accepting a senior product design role, 5 months after completing the course.”

KRISTIN

“The biggest takeaway is easily the mentorship from Samaya and Khrys.”

I didn't have ANY background in UX/UI, other than a little bit of online learning I had been doing at my own pace. I enjoyed having a structured way of learning the principles of UX/UI, instead of finding random resources. There's a lot available through online resources, but having the structured course was just more conducive to my learning style! That, and because classes are weekly, it helped keep me accountable to actually follow through on the project and taking time to learn instead of just "when I have time”.

The biggest takeaway is easily the mentorship from Samaya and Khrys. I appreciate their willingness to chat, share ideas, connect me to additional resources, and provide feedback in an actionable way. I know that I can reach out to either one of them if I'm feeling a little stuck with client work, jobs, etc. so I'm really grateful about that. With no background, I think it would have been pretty easy to get stunted in my learning, but by chatting with them I was able to go outside my own reach in UX design.

— ILONA

“I was offered a UX Design job at a Fortune 500 Company within four months. I also increased my salary by nearly 40%. ”

“After completing Ideate Labs, I was offered a UX Design job at a Fortune 500 Company within four months. I also increased my salary by nearly 40%. I would not have had the confidence to dive into UX without the course. It gave me a solid foundation in the UX design and research process.

Khrys and Samaya thoroughly reviewed my resume and provided me with ways to cater it to UX. They also spent time conducting mock interviews throughout my journey of applying to roles. Ideate Labs helped me go from feeling 'stuck' in my career to landing a new, exciting job as a UX Designer!.”

— BETH

“Ideate Labs opened so many new opportunities for me after completing their bootcamp.”

Samaya and Khrstyna are incredibly knowledgeable. They helped make my transition into the UX field seamlessly.

Ideate Labs opened up so many new opportunities for me after completing their bootcamp.

I was able to rediscover my passion for design. The course allowed me to take my graphic design skills to the next level by being able to build a product from the ground up.

Because of Ideate Labs I was able to increase my salary by over 45% in just a few months after graduating.

ANGELINA
