Financy caters to each student’s knowledge level.

“More freedom to choose.”

Students often don’t know where to even begin when it comes to learning financial literacy. Financy’s onboarding includes a placement quiz to understand each user’s knowledge level and place them.

Students can learn at their own pace, with guidance from an advisor.

“Build self confidence.“

Students can choose an advisor to help them with learning finance concepts. Advisors could be parents, teachers, coaches or mentors that the student really respects and admires. This gives them the motivation to keep learning.

Students can actually apply what they learn by taking action.

“It’s important to have a cushion.“

Students can open bank accounts via the app after completing course modules. They can start putting theory into practice and apply their knowledge in a way that helps them manage their current financial situation.

LAUREN, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

“My current education has not prepared me. I have no idea how a credit card works.”

FEATURED DESIGNER

Meet Kristin Ferrari.

Hi there. I'm a designer and art director from West Chester, PA.

I graduated with a BBA in Music Business from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I'm primarily a self-taught designer, but my educational background in business, strategic management, and leadership & advocacy combined with my design skills is the perfect recipe for creative direction and strategy.

My focus is in the digital space, but often work on print projects as well. You could describe me as a “T-shaped” designer, with a breadth of knowledge across multiple, overlapping disciplines with a speciality in website visual design, brand development, email strategy and development, and junior staff mentorship and training.

I enjoy using both the "analytical"-business brain and combining it with the power of creativity to come up with a truly useful, functional and beautiful solution. I champion the necessity of design thinking and methodology, savor the idea of succinct copywriting, and hunt down the empirical reasons why behind human nature. The quote above really sums it up for me though when it comes down to why I do what I do. I enjoy teaching, mentoring, and growing. Whatever you call it, at the end of the day, leadership is a privilege you are given to create spectacular things. True leaders provide people with the courage and intrepidity to pursue the risks they have needed to push a little bit further each time. Just a little nudge and you've got something going from "good" to "great".
