44% of students don't know what they want to do after graduation. Homework, part-time jobs, sports, college applications, family responsibilities - high school students have complex lives, too! High School Counselors are overwhelmed and overloaded with responsibility.
Solution
Empower undecided students to find their path through easy-to-digest, on-the-go content. Provide stress-free perspective for students via clear start to finish example career paths. Suggest talking points for students to reference in meetings with counselors.

Informational interviews with high school students and counselors, synthesis of insights through affinity mapping, journey mapping, defining user types and personas, defining user flows, creating wireframes and prototyping.
On boarding curates options for students at all levels.
Freshman and sophomores can be mentored by juniors and seniors. Juniors and seniors can be mentored by new grads.
Videos run through the day-in-the-life experience of professionals.
High school students can explore a variety of post-grad options by watching day-in-the-life videos of different professions.
Dashboard provides reminders and curates options to explore.
The app’s algorithms learn about high school student preferences and provide them viewing options they are most likely to watch.
WHY NOW?
The 2019 pandemic has reshaped education and the traditional post-secondary trajectory.
Sonder will be fun and engaging like TikTok so that students don’t feel like they are working by watching videos.
TikTok style videos are a stress-free, on-the go way for students to explore a variety of career paths. Additionally, the Sonder app provides students with quizzes so that quiz results can help provide a more personalized curation of videos within each student’s dashboard.
Current options that help high school students with post-grad options are outdated and boring.
These options tend to have wordy essays for students to browse and don’t tend to be accessible to all students.
Sonder app will provide students with sponsored content and students can subscribe to the app to access premium features.
Premium features include chats outside of the student’s network and a chance to connect with universities. Sponsored content can included partnerships with universities and companies for ‘day-in-the-life’ videos.

Meet Aria Chambers.
Aria is a marketing professional turned UX Designer / Strategist. Over the last 7 years she has worked directly with small business owners to help them establish a digital presence through creating websites, managing social media, developing creative email marketing campaigns and more. Recently, Aria has shifted her talents to increasing conversions through evaluating and creating new experiences for customers based on their stage in the marketing or sales funnel. An example of a new experience produced and moderated by Aria for an industrial services client is the addition of webinars, which increased the company's reach by 30% in the last year.
Aria enjoys elevating businesses by bringing them to the present with technology and quality online representation. Aside from professional aspirations, Aria hopes to visit the New Seven Wonders of The World (2 down, 5 to go!) and is excited to enjoy the local cuisine during her travels.
